This incredibly creepy teenager literally emptied his pockets of a ton of change (mostly pennies) to pay for his 75 cent bottle of water. He just stared at me, expecting me to count everything out. When I told him that I needed 75 cents, he still stared at me. Then I said, “I’m not counting that out. I need 75 cents.” Then he FINALLY counted out 75 pennies as slowly as possible. Good god.
See, I have the opposite problem. People will toss a bag onto the counter and say “that’s 75 cents!” and then get mad when I tell them I still have to count it. Like, dude, I’m not gonna just take your word for it.
