This night is winding down, but time means nothing

I don’t know about other stores with call buttons, but where I work, we’re ranked on how long it takes us to answer the calls.  Even if that weren’t so, it’s still SUPER annoying to be standing five feet from the button, clearly in sight, to have the customer hit the button anyways.  Or when it’s just a kid playing with buttons.

Oh my god, this.  In our case it’s a bell, but people will ring it if they’re standing five feet away and I just happen to have my back turned putting something away.  Or if I am at the cutting table and they are at the register right next to it and they can clearly see me helping another customer.

I am not Pavlov’s dog.  I am a human being.  Please actually speak to me to get my attention.
